The in-combat spellcasting to get your undead servants back feels like it's possibly stealing the thunder from danse macabre. However, I thought that this ability would be useful for players who don't use Xanathar's Guide, or perhaps want to free up their prepared spells. I matched the healing amount from the second ability to Hit Dice healing during short rests. You can only do this once a day, which limits it to sane levels.
